We set ourselves apart by taking on small projects. Ellen believes that everybody deserves a home that they love. Sometimes that means a complete renovation and sometimes that means working on one room at a time.
Our lives are ever evolving and needs change. Whatever the project, our goal is to create a space for you that you will enjoy for years to come.
Cambridge Living Room
Our clients wanted a refreshed and somewhat contemporary look. They love their large Asian screen but did not want an “overly Asian aesthetic.” They wanted to create a living room where they could spend time as a family, and with guests. The house is a colonial so they wanted the new design to make sense in their old home. EvB Home worked to create a design that captured their desire for a fresh, collected, but not stuffy space, bringing in new elements that expand the functionality and aesthetics of the space.
Cambridge Condo Update
For this project we took an outdated Living Room and Foyer that needed both a refresh and paring down. Part of the process was organizing the space. We created updated and stylish rooms that are both comfortable and functional. All spaces in this home have multiple functions so we wanted furniture that could be utilitarian and beautiful. We recovered some furniture, added a new rug, a vintage bar that hides TV and Stereo components, and soft furnishings in the Living Room. In the Foyer we added a rug, and new storage and desk. We moved some of our client’s fabulous art around, and we sourced some cool vintage pieces of furniture for the space.
The Foyer of this Cambridge Condo is also used as an office for one of the homeowners. So, we had the challenge of making the space a warm entry and a place to work and store important documents.
Family Room Update
This family of 5 in Cambridge spent a lot of time in their family room over the years. It was feeling tired and the homeowners wanted an update that reflected their growing family and love of art. We replaced multiple pieces of furniture with a large sectional that holds all five for family movie nights or when the kids have friends over. Art is a feature as is flexible furniture in the ottomans and coffee table.
Cambridge Kitchen Sitting Area
This kitchen was expanded to add space for a large dinner table and seating area. The space is defined by the gorgeous windows that bring the outside in. Comfortable furniture, textiles and art make this room a joy to live in every day.
